Fantastic Finish

It was a fantastic finish to our milongas for the year. Thank you to everyone who came on Saturday. We had a great time and hope you did too. Once again, to all those who helped us clean up - your assistance is gratefully received. Thanks also to Graeme and Amy who provided some tasty biscuits and cakes for us enjoy throughout the evening. We'll be kicking off next year on January the 8th 2011. Hope you can join us for another year of TangoSpace.

Christmas Milonga

It's December and TangoSpace is having a Christmas milonga on Saturday the 11th December 2010 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm @ The Strand in Applecross. All are welcome. Send an email to tangospace@westnet.com.au to get in for the $10 entry fee or arrive on the night and pay $15 at the door. We would love to see you there. It promises to be a lovely evening down by the river. Leanne is constructing the play list for you to dance to some fantastic tunes, and we'll be putting up the decorations to celebrate the festive season.

November Milonga

TangoSpace welcomes you to our monthly milonga on Saturday the 13th November 2010. We kick off at 7:00pm and finish at 10:00pm at The Strand in Applecross. If you email us at tangospace@westnet.com.au on or before Friday the 12th November 2010, we will let you in for the $10 entry fee. Otherwise, it will cost you $15 at the door. Either way we would love to see you for Sukru's final au revoir. He's leaving us to head back to Turkey and we will miss him enormously. But, we will not be mourning his departure and instead intend on having a great night of dazzling tango, exceptional company and fine music. Hope you can join us.

Saturday October 9th will see TangoSpace fling open the doors at our monthly milonga to let in the sea-breeze now that spring has arrived. We start at 7:00pm and finish at 10:00pm and if you email us at tangospace@westnet.com.au you can get in for the $10 entry fee. Otherwise feel free to just show up on the night and pay $15 at the door. Leanne is constructing a carefully considered playlist for you to dance to. September means spring is here and the weather (hopefully) is going to begin brightening up. TangoSpace is hosting its monthly milonga this Saturday the 11th September 2010 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm @ The Strand in Applecross. This month's play-list is being constructed by DJ Sukru. Come on down to the river for a collection of delightful, beautiful, and energetic tango tunes to dance to. Wow - what a night. Thank you to everyone who came to help us celebrate Antonio's birthday. It was so wonderful to see you all. August Milonga

In the month of August it is Antonio's birthday, so we're having a TangoSpace bash. We would love for you to join us on Saturday the 14th August 2010 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm for some fun and frivolity down by the river on The Strand in Applecross. Winter Warmer

May Madness

Our May adventures in tango will be kick-started with Leanne's playlist offering up an exciting mix of tunes for dancing. This will be followed up with a special birthday celebration on the night. April Update

Just when we were hoping to get back into a steady routine, a spanner has been thrown into the works. For the next two weeks the TangoSpace practica will not be on. There will be maintenance on the Waylen Bay Hall and we will not be able to have access to the space. TangoSpace will be back on the 28th April 2010 7:45pm - 10:00pm $7.00 entry @ The Strand in Applecross. Our May milonga will be on the 8th and we look forward to seeing you there.

April Hiatus

TangoSpace has decided to have a short break from running the milonga for the month of April. So, on April the 10th 2010 we will not be holding our milonga at The Strand in Applecross. Do not be dismayed, there will be plenty of tango for you. Due to Easter, the JRDA milonga will instead be running on the 10th April from 9:00pm - 2:00am, and the following week the 17th April 2010 will see the Perth Tango Club celebrate its fifth anniversary with a free milonga for members. We hope to see you tangoing at these events and will be back on deck May 8th for our next milonga.

Daniel and Aja in Perth 2010

TangoSpace is pleased to announce Daniel from Argentina and Aja from the UK will be in Perth during March 2010 to offer a series of workshops, concepts and private lessons to Perth tango dancers. These young and energetic dancers are part of a new generation of tango instructors who are expert in a range of traditional and contemporary tango techniques. Both Daniel and Aja have been educated by some of the current maestros touring Europe and Argentine including Gustavo Naveira and Giselle-Anne, Cecilia Gonzalez and Pablo Inza. Details of the workshops on offer, pricing and schedule will be available soon.

A Great Way to Start the Year

Thank you to everyone who came along to our first milonga for the year. We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed dancing with everyone. Thank you also to the out of town visitors who came along. It was great to have you at TangoSpace. Now we're looking forward to the next one in February.

First Milonga for the Year

TangoSpace is running the first milonga for the year in Perth on Saturday the 9th January 2010. We would love to see you down by the river from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. We know it's early but it's full of tango goodness. This year we are changing our pricing a little with a $10.00 entry fee for those who book on or before the 8th Jan 2010 and $15.00 for those of you who just want to rock up on the night.
