Special Event

June 20th and 21st 2009 will see Flipside Tango, Toucan Tango, and event coordinators TangoSpace hold a special event for Perth tango dancers. More details will be released as the date gets closer. But in the mean time, make a note in your diary to hold those dates open.

March Mini-Milonga

This month, our mini-milonga has been pushed back one week. Saturday the 21st March 2009 we will be running our social dance. We look forward to seeing everyone from 7:00pm - 10:00pm at The Strand in Applecross, $10.00 entry.

Tangocamp 2009

Tangocamp is a series of tango festivals held across Europe in cities including Rome: Italy, Evia Island: Greece, Tylosand: Sweden, and Dusseldorf: Germany. This year they are running special seminars with Gustavo Naveira and Giselle-Anne to accompany the major festival events. There are currently about 700 participants enrolled in Tangocamp across Europe and about 100 people are looking for a leader or follower to partner them in classes/workshops. CITA 2009

March 16th and 17th are two days of jam-packed tango in Argentina with CITA 2009. Guests this year include Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes, Claudia Codega and Esteban Moreno, Carolina del Rivero and Donato Juarez, Damien Rosenthal and Celine Ruiz, Chicho Frumboli and Juana Sepulveda, Julio Balmaceda and Corina de la Rosa, Adrian Veredice and Alejandra Hobert. March up-date

Due to a scheduling conflict with the Scouts at The Strand in Applecross, we will not be able to host our mini-milonga on the second Saturday of March - the 14th. Instead, we will be moving our mini-milonga to the third Saturday, the 21st March 2009 - for March only. In April we will be back to our usual time-slot. Hope to see you there.

Valentines Day Mini-Milonga

Thanks to everyone who came to our Valentines Day mini-milonga. It was great to see you and the touches of red that filled the dance floor. We had a great time and hope you did too. It was a vibrant start to the year and we hope to see you at many more milongas. Take care.

TangoSpace in Red

February 14th 2009 is our next mini-milonga, from 7:00pm - 10:00pm, $10.00 entry @ The Strand in Applecross. In honour of Valentines Day we are going Red. Wear something red when you choose your dancing ensemble - red shoes, socks, a scarf, clip in your hair - wear as much or little red as you like. But remember: No Red No Entry.
