Australia Day

Australia Day is celebrated on the 26th of January - which is also a Wednesday this year. We have been asked by the Managers of the Hall and in the interests of public safety and security, to not run our practica on that evening, due to the large crowds that will gather on the banks of the Swan River to catch a glimpse of the Skyworks. So there will be no TangoSpace practica on Wednesday the 26th. However, we will be back on deck the following Wednesday the 2nd of February.

Wonderful Start to 2011

Thank you to everyone who came to our Milonga on Saturday night. It was fantastic to kick off the year with you all on such a hot and steamy evening at TangoSpace. Thanks to everyone who helped us pack up. We appreciate your assistance more than we can say. We are now looking forward to the second Saturday in February. See you there.

First one for 2011

TangoSpace is back for another year of elegant, energetic, and eccentric milongas down by the river at The Strand in Applecross. This Saturday the 8th January 2011 we kick off at 7:00pm until 10:00pm with a play-list by Antonio to get the year started. Please send us an email at tangospace@westnet.com.au to get in for $10.00 otherwise just show up at the door and pay $15.00. We would love to see you to help us celebrate a few January birthdays among the Perth tango cohort.

Fantastic Finish

It was a fantastic finish to our milongas for the year. Thank you to everyone who came on Saturday. We had a great time and hope you did too. Once again, to all those who helped us clean up - your assistance is gratefully received. Thanks also to Graeme and Amy who provided some tasty biscuits and cakes for us enjoy throughout the evening. We'll be kicking off next year on January the 8th 2011. Hope you can join us for another year of TangoSpace.

Christmas Milonga

It's December and TangoSpace is having a Christmas milonga on Saturday the 11th December 2010 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm @ The Strand in Applecross. All are welcome. Send an email to tangospace@westnet.com.au to get in for the $10 entry fee or arrive on the night and pay $15 at the door. We would love to see you there. It promises to be a lovely evening down by the river. Leanne is constructing the play list for you to dance to some fantastic tunes, and we'll be putting up the decorations to celebrate the festive season.

Thank you to everyone who came to our milonga on the weekend. We had a blast. It was great to see everyone enjoying their tango. To those who helped us pack up, we cannot express our gratitude. You are all awesome. December is on the horizon with Xmas celebrations on the cards and Leanne doing the play-list. Hope to see you there.

November Milonga

TangoSpace welcomes you to our monthly milonga on Saturday the 13th November 2010. We kick off at 7:00pm and finish at 10:00pm at The Strand in Applecross. If you email us at tangospace@westnet.com.au on or before Friday the 12th November 2010, we will let you in for the $10 entry fee. Otherwise, it will cost you $15 at the door. Either way we would love to see you for Sukru's final au revoir. He's leaving us to head back to Turkey and we will miss him enormously. But, we will not be mourning his departure and instead intend on having a great night of dazzling tango, exceptional company and fine music. Hope you can join us.
